This is an evolving image! In a week or 3-4 I will replace this image with a new step in the production process. It is traditional now, but will be digital in the end!

January 2010:
This evolving image will eventually be the cover for my 3rd book... somehow. Anyway, these are design sketches I made. Next time I will post the composition. As you can see, I was not really satisfied with the design of the dress. In mini, you can see a quick composition sketch. The main character on this book/image will be Naraku, of Forever Young.
Note: These designs were made AFTER the composition-sketch, because I'm just weird like that XP

February 2010:
The final composition! The big balls in the back are the three moons of Seken. While drawing this image, I noticed I had no idea how a dress would flow, so I asked to pose for me Thanks, Mene!
Oh, and this drawing was actually made before the first sketch XD Yes, I am strange, I know!
So now you have a closer idea what I am aiming for...

March 2010:
The pose, the dress. It's there. As you can see, I did not sketch the background. That's gonna big big balls anyway.
The knife is actually a thin line, so I know how the dress looks behind the knife. I also decided to make it a knife, instead of a sword, otherwise our Naraku would be poking herself XP

April 2010:
As you can see: flat colours. The lace on the bottom totally took ages! I picked a red background, since I knew I wouldn't use the colour. That way I can easily spot mistakes!
If you don't like the colours, don't worry yet They will change a bit!

May 2010:
The dress has got some... pattern thingy. I wanted to give it some sort of glitter or shine, but that never really worked out. Eventually, it won't look so bad. Not much change yet, ne?

June 2010:

Smudge tool is very handy for creating folds I did use some other things, but I honestly can't remember. I think this is 4-5 layers or so.

July 2010:

I added some shade; mostly around the line around the dress. Also a bit of shading to create some more folds in the bottom of the dress. A small change, but a quite important step. It looks like I did it fast, but it took me quite long. The same with the following step, which also looks small...

August 2010:

The change is small, but there: it's the shoes. Like the left shoe, less the right shoe.

September 2010:

Yes, I am back and with a new update! I think the change should be pretty visible. I so, so love how the skirt turned out. Plenty to learn, but also plenty achieved!

October 2010:

I finished the cape (outside) The pattern was by accident, but I like the outcome. Can you see what the pattern acyually is?

November 2010:

If you do the outside of the cape, also do the inside The dress is pretty much complete now!

December 2010:

I started with the skin. That way, I more or less knew which way light came. Later on, I changed my mind about the shading and continued it, so this is basic shading

Januari 2011:

The question is, what will happen first? Will I first release Eternity 3 (from which this image is partly the cover), or will I finish uploading the steps? Ah well, we will find out eventually...
Worked on the face a bit more.

February 2011:

I added shade to the hood. I've never been any good with hoodies, let alone shading, but I was pretty proud of this one.
At the Tsunacon, we had a little competition about this piece. "Guess how much hours work this one was!" (104 hours). Some people guessed 210, others guessed 15... The one who was closest (102 hours) was given this image on canvas. She was so happy when she found out she was the winner!
(Yes, the image is already finished XD Just like Rainbow Goddess - if I work on a piece, I want to finish it asap XP)

March 2011:

I did some hair and eyes! You can't see the individual strands I made though... you can see it on the finished piece!

April 2011:

I made the eyes a bit more glowy and worked on the tips. I'm not that great when it comes to line-less coloured lips ^_^'

May 2011:

I worked some more on the shades, eyes, lips and... added a pin to hold her cape close! It's 3 moons with purple gems and some other fancy silver swirls

June 2011:

I added a gem to the side of the dress. Also fixed quite some things like hair etc. Only 15 steps left, but the big ones will start soon!

July 2011:

There, added a knife! If you liked the red background, then I'm sorry I must disappoint you soon. If you hated the red background, I can soon make you happy XD

August 2011:

Gasp, I canged the background's colour!!... honestly, I only did that, so I could see the contrast with the (wilted) flower. It was fun making the flower

October 2011:

And this is why I changed the background's colour. If you're worried about the pretty dark dress... don't be! You'll soon see why!

December 2011:

Tadaa! The cape is now matching (well, the outside is XP)

January 2012:

*gasp* What happened to the dagger O.o?!

March 2012:

And look at that flower! What's going on?!

May 2012:

Changed the jewels. Take a good look at this image, because the next update it will be....
