The title is a pun on a song and was just randomly chosen.

This image I'm posting now is a very personal drawing. I made half of it in 2009 (December 31st; finished 23:54) and the other half on the 1st of January 2010. The characters I drew are very closely related to me; one way or the other. You can find links to the very old art below this description.

Blond girl: Kim; the very first Chieftess of The IceHunters. when I was a kid, Forever Young already grew in my mind... kinda. In 1999, when I first started drawing, I created this look for myself. Yellow hair, green shirt... that green shirt should ring a bell with some... ^_~. Anyway, her looks never lasted long, because when I actually started writing Forever Young (Dutch, on paper). I created new looks for myself.

Caped girl: Kim, version number 2. She said one line in the paper-written version that still haunts me... because it's so dropdead true. On Earth, Kim looked like me, but on Seken (Trimane back then, because of 3 Moons) she looked like this. Why? "I had to change the way I look, to be finally accepted...". It's still like that. If I would dress like everybody else, if I would act like everyone else... I would be accepted in no time. But... that's not me. I wouldn't be happy that way... Funny thing, Kim II (as I call her now) dreamed of a world named Trimane and that world became true (in the story, anyway)... so the people who played in that version were slowly becoming the people as Kim II saw them. One even said: "Hold up, is this your memory or my own?". Only now I realise what a terrible thing it would be if that would REALLY came true, because I would change EVERYBODY to let them fit into my world... the way I see them.

Dark Skinned Girl:

Whisper Shadowhunter. My first online name. She dates from the time I got internet, which is around the time the first version of Forever Young was written. She changed her looks a lot (clotheswise; see below), except the colour of her skin and hair. She first was the respresentation of me in a story called Xist, which I wrote with 2 other girls. Whisper Shadowhunter also became my artist's name. Whisper Shadowhunter eventually transferred to Forever Young - Current Version, as the daughter of the rebellious Cegea.

Firey haired girl I:

Kitty Ocean. Designed in 2001... and thus 9 years ago (or perhaps 2000?). Again a representation of yours truely. See the name also? And my current internetname? I have this internet that long already!. Anyway. Kim II said she magically changed her looks so she could be accepted. Kitty Ocean I said: "Why can't anyone see me for who I am and accept that? I'm unique, like everybody else in the world, but people still want me to change so I can fit into their world!" I didn't really date my work back then, and I wanted to be 16 (again). However, I seemed to have turned 18 in that same year, so I think I was 17 back then... and that should date the image 2000; which makes more sense since I met Rocket Stevo back in 2000! Again, a quest for acceptance.

Girl in black:

Kitty Ocean turned 18. Still a desire to be accepted for who I am, but accepting life myself more. Fun fact: people actually thought I had hair like that... I started to enjoy life and I will not hide the fact certain online friends made that happen... especially when they became offline friends as well! Also notice that the lock of hair before the eye got removed. While in the story Kitt still struggled with being compaired to her super smart identical twin (I never had a twin XD), she also made certain people would know she was unique... kinda like with me as well!

Girl in white:

Naraku. I decided to try the story that was in my head for so many years again and guess what... Naraku was the spark I needed. I was too scared to create a girl that actually looked like me ^_^', so I created Naraku. She became a reflection of my 'eternal child side' and till this day, I'm still writing Forever Young. The clothes she wears here, were actually created for Kim II...

Fiery haired girl II:

Kitty Ocean again. Kitty Ocean has accepted herself and life around it and so did I. **** life if they can't accept me for who I am. I am me and I'm not going to change that; for anybody! Because of that realisation, I cut off her hair and made her clothes' colour from black and blue to white and blue. Did you notice that Kitt II and Kitt III both wear a necklace that's also the logo for my 'other stuff' art? It's the SunStar/ZonneSter, a necklace that played a role in Forever Young Version Paper; it was a necklace Kim II had gotten from her tribe. In Serenay Moon, Kitty Ocean got the necklace from Shelly Stellamare; a dear friend of hers, which became the key to her magic. Kitt wears the symbol of me and unlocks the one I am inside... I really want a necklace/pendant like this...

Ochre Colour haired girl:

Kimu. The fact I created a girl to actually play me in Forever Young shows I have accepted who I am. Though, mostly for the story, Kimu is a depressed girl who looks for a place to call home, Kimu also looked for attention and recognition. I have that as well, just like Kim I, Kim II, Kitty Ocean I, Kitty Ocean II and Kitty Ocean III. Naraku doesn't really have that, but she has plenty of other issues (don't worry about that! ^_^). So, in retrospect, Kimu is a direct reflection of me. And the fact I actually confess Kimu IS me (which most of you already knew XD), shows again that I know who I am and I plan to stay that way. I just hope my path will eventually end like Kimu's... a happily ever after...
